Country Duo Dan + Shay chatted with ET’s Denny Directo after their winning Favorite Country Duo or Group at the 2025 American Music Awards. Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney joked with Denny about the shape of the award, calling it ‘dangerous’ and ‘a weapon.’ Shay said he’ll have to keep it up high, so his kids don’t play with it. This is their 8th American Music Award and they admit you never get used to the feeling of winning. They thanked their fans and said they would not be there without them! The American Music Awards aired live from Las Vegas on CBS and Paramount+.
