Garth Brooks denies rape allegations made in a new lawsuit on Thursday, calling the claims ‘extortion and defamation of character.’ According to court docs, Garth’s accuser, a former make up artist for him and wife Trisha Yearwood, says the alleged rape happened back in 2019. She claims the country superstar raped her duing a trip to Los Angeles for a GRAMMYs tribute. In a statement to ET, Brooks says ‘For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars. It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face.’ The singer adds that he filed a preemptive suit against his accuser last month.
