‘Spaceballs 2′ is officially in production in Australia, with Amazon MGM Studios releasing a first look at original star Rick Moranis (aka Dark Helmet) at the first table read. It’s Moranis’ first major acting role in more than two decades; he’ll reunite will fellow OGs Bill Pullman (Lone Star), Daphne Zuniga (Princess Vespa) and Mel Brooks (Yogurt) in the sequel, hitting theaters nearly 40 years after the first film did, in 1987. Newcomers to the cast include Keke Palmer and Pullman’s son, Lewis.
