James Van Der Beek canceled his appearance at the planned ‘Dawson’s Creek’ reunion in New York City due to a stomach bug, as he continues to battle colorectal cancer. The one-night event, benefiting F Cancer in James’ honor, is a live reading of the pilot episode, featuring original cast members Joshua Jackson, Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams. Lin Manuel Miranda will now step in for James, as Dawson Leery.
